Sound familiar?

A move is a dozen decisions, and most of them are not about the truck

How much to pack yourself, whether anything needs storing, what happens to the piano, and whether the dates at either end actually line up. The truck is the last question, not the first.

Moves are made up of separate services that get combined to fit the situation. Working out which of them you actually need is what turns an overwhelming job into a plan.

That is exactly why H & U Express Moving does it differently.

Common questions

What is included in a standard move?

At minimum, loading, transport and unloading, with furniture disassembly and reassembly where doorways require it. Packing, storage and specialty items are usually quoted as additions rather than assumed.

How far ahead should a move be booked?

Earlier is easier, particularly at month end and over summer when demand concentrates. The survey that produces an accurate quote also takes time, so starting the conversation before the dates are fixed helps.

What information is needed for an accurate quote?

What is going, where it is going, and the access at both ends. Stairs, lift availability, parking distance and anything unusually heavy affect the estimate more than the number of rooms does.

Do I have to pack everything myself?

No. Packing ranges from full service through to partial, where only the kitchen and fragile items are handled, to nothing at all. It is a decision about time and budget rather than a fixed part of the job.
